In 2006, 24 in 2006 improved by 16% in ratings and 14% in the field of the advertiser-friendly teenage demographic area which makes the series most successful on the same year. This however, was topped by the sixth with it largest viewers scale ever what with a whopping 15.7 million loyal watchers. At one point in the series, the ratings scored up to 16.3 million viewers with the first 4 episodes of season 6 gaining over 33 million fans. The success that is 24 has crossed American borders claiming fan bases as far as Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.
