The phenomenon that is 24 paved way for it to market the other form of communications there is. It extended into the world of mobile devices and of course, the world wide web. Capitalists of course will not be contented with these limited kind of exposure, they maximized profit over the series by venturing in video games, board games, collectible toys as well as MP3 files all at the reach of the mouse clicker. Several behind the scenes book were also issued in support of the series propaganda as well as an upcoming movie.

Nearly everybody likes to watch television every once and a while. Whether it’s to get the weather or news, for educational purposes, to see some music videos, or for the sheer storytelling entertainment, sometimes it’s nice to watch television. What many people discover however is that the suspense and gaps in the storytelling of many of their favorite series from week to week in not necessarily a pleasant experience. Once a person gets hooked on a series, he or she is likely to spend many hours not only watching, but thinking about, pondering, and researching the program while waiting for the answers as to what will happen. Excellent examples include mega-series like Lost and 24. For some, it is preferable to just wait around until all of the latest episodes have aired to watch them all at once, thereby sparing some of the torturous downtime between weekly episodes.

In order to accomplish this feat, it is necessary to remove oneself from any situation in which friends, colleagues or passersby might inadvertently spill the beans about what is going on in the series. If you find yourself in a situation where any one of these situations is unavoidable, it might be better to just watch the episodes as they come out so you can at least get some of the surprise and suspense. It will also be imperative to be able to download the episodes if you want the “avoidance” technique to work. This way, you’ll have them all ready and waiting for you at the end of the season. If you don’t have high speed internet already, you might want to look into signing up for a DSL, cable, or satellite internet broadband subscription ASAP. Lastly, you will need patience; the kind of Zen, eternal calm, infuriating patience that certainly does not pertain to the vast majority of pop culture fanatics. If you can somehow manage to create this perfect set of conditions, you may just have a shot of being able to watch your entire series in one go.

Of course, when it comes time to actually view the series, you’ll have to set aside a block of time in which to watch all the episodes. With many series stretching between 10 and 20 episodes, this means basically devoting an entire weekend block of time to the series if you plan on eating, sleeping, or leaving the room. Ideally this block of time will be scheduled immediately before the finale airs so you can at least see the ending in real time. Going to all that trouble only to inadvertently find out the ending really would be a shame. This will mean turning off your cell phone, shutting down the satellite internet and television, and going into your own private cave for a few days. It may help to use the buddy system, and get one of your pals to go through the experience with you.

When you’ve got high speed internet, like satellite broadband, there’s no need to wait around suffering wishing you could just get individual episodes of your favorite series. It’s even possible to live stream shows right to your computer when you’ve got a broadband connection! See how the internet is improving TV today with satellite internet.

When a character on television gets married, you know that everything will look flawless. Her dress will be perfect, her hair and makeup flawless, and she will be aglow with stunning diamond bridal jewelry. Real life brides can get great ideas and inspiration from those tv brides, and use them as a foundation for building their own unique look.

Many tv brides have worn beautiful and memorable wedding gowns. The first one that comes to mind for me is the chic satin sheath worn by Monica on Friends. It was sleeveless v-neck gown with a slightly flared hem and a sweep train. To accentuate the elegance and slim line of the wedding dress, Monica wore a long plain veil. A style this simple would be a fabulous backdrop for special jewelry, like custom bridal Swarovski necklaces. A v-neck looks especially nice with a drop necklace.

Another famous television bride was Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210. When she married her longtime sweetheart during the series finale, actress Tori Spelling wore a heavily embellished strapless wedding gown with a choker necklace. Chokers are a fantastic way to emphasize a graceful and slender neck. Elaborate custom bridal Swarovski necklaces that fit close to the neck are an ideal accessory to balance out a very decorative gown.

The most famous tv wedding of all time has to be when Luke and Laura were married on General Hospital in 1981. I was one of the thirty million people watching that day as America’s favorite couple tied the knot (I repeat, thirty million viewers!). It was the 80s, and Laura’s bridal ensemble certainly reflected the trends of the times. Her wedding gown had long sleeves with poufy shoulders and a bedazzled lace bodice. For a headpiece, Laura wore a cringe-worthy headdress that came down over her forehead with an extremely full veil. For anyone planning a wedding today, count your blessings that you were not married in the 1980s!

Television is always influential on the rest of society. Although we may look back and laugh at Laura’s over-the-top wedding day get-up, at the time it was the height of fashion. Indeed, many brides in the early 80s surely were inspired by her bridal ensemble when planning their own weddings. Some fashions do stand the test of time better than others. The simple and elegant gown worn by Monica may not always be the hottest trend, but the clean lines are likely to stand the test of time better than some other wedding dresses.

The best tip that a bride can glean from television is how to put the whole look together. It is not necessary to copy a celebrity’s wedding look exactly; rather, take it as a jumping off point to create your own individual style. Trends may change and evolve in fashion, but classic looks will always be beautiful. (In fact, if you look at pictures of Luke and Laura’s wedding, you may notice that while her outfit is a bit much by today’s standards, her softly styled hair looks lovely.)

Real life brides cannot help but be influenced by what they see on tv. There is nothing wrong with getting ideas from your favorite character. Just be certain that the styles that you choose for your wedding are timeless, so that you won’t look back in ten years and say, “Oh no, what was I thinking?”

Are you looking for away to download the latest TV shows on your PC? Maybe you’ve missed an episode of your favorite program? Or maybe you just want to start watching that new series all your friends have been talking about? If so, downloading TV shows from your computer is easy if you know where to look. But as with everything on the internet, there are a lot of scams and useless websites. But follow a few simple rules and you will find a great service to download TV shows from.

Firstly, you should try to avoid downloading TV shows from ‘torrent’ sites. Although it’s always tempting to download something for free, these sites are usually unregulated, so the files on them can be full of spyware and viruses. You can join a great paid site for a very small one time fee, which you can download TV shows from for the rest of your life.

Next, when searching for a service, check what they have available to download. The best websites out there will have more than 80 million files all available for you to download. Also look for a service which has Music, Movies and Games as well as TV shows so you can get the most out of the service you’re using.

Finally, you should make sure the site has a customer support service in case you have any problems or questions you need answering and that they have a money back guarantee. The better websites will have a 24/7 customer support service and up to a 6 week money back guarantee.

The news and other branches of media say the threat is still there and government agencies say we can never be too careful. The paranoia that fuels the debate continues to haunt us of that day in 2001 when the war on terror took on a new light.

Is the threat real? It sure is but how much you may want it to have an influence on your life is up to you.

Jack Bauer, our lone hero in the series continues to amaze us with his abilities to fight insurmountable odds (though reality can be so much less exciting). Maybe its part of the human psyche to be afraid and to survive, and the series fills in part of that need without the danger. Maybe it’s all inside us, a part of Agent Bauer that tells him to forge on. The last series (Series aired last 2010. Keep on checking back for summaries and opinion on one of the most followed TV series in the US and maybe the world.

Shows like 24, have flourished with action filled episodes that seem to show us a side of the fight against this hidden terror that not many get to see. Though manufactured in Hollywood, the ideas and concepts can partially be called truth(with staunch objection from intelligence agencies of course).

Most people call them terrorists some call them martyrs, but whichever side you may be on the thrills of these characters never seems to amaze us as we continue to watch these shows with such fervor we simply can’t get enough.

The show revolves around the 24 hour time period divided into hours per segment making the show last a whole season for a mere 24 hours. It has been quite sometime since the show started yet followers of the show continue to grow. The last season (Season 8), revolves around another set of enemies against the state and it’s members with our hero Jack Bauer again there to save the day.

The Plot: The series focuses on Light Yagami; a 17-year old intelligence student, bored with his life and disgusted at the state of the world around him. One day his eyes fall over a notebook laying on the ground outside of his school. Reading the English cover, “Death Note,” and noticing that the writing inside is also in English, Light decides to take it home to read it. Within the next 5 days, Light has killed hundreds of people by just by watching and recording names of criminals from the news. The Death Note enables him to kill anyone whose face and real name is known. To know more about the rules of the notebook read the terms of the Death Note.

Later a Shinigami (God of Death) named Ryuk approaches Light and tells him that the note book in his possession in fact belong to him. Ryuk tells Light that only the owner of the Death Note can see him and that he, Light, is now the owner of it and may use it as he chooses. Light tells Ryuk that he plans on using the Notebook to kill criminals and clear the world of crime. Within the first chapter alone, he kills over 250 criminals.

Eventually, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization (ICPO) and a strange detective known only as “L” gets involved. L already knows that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as Kira, is located in Japan. L has also deducted that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realises that a detective is following him, and knows that L will be his greatest nemesis. A game of psychological “cat and mouse” between the two characters begins. Light is constantly trying to evade suspicion by the detective L while maintaining his identity as Kira.

Written rules: The Death Note comes with its own set of rules, the main rules are as follows:

The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject’s face in their mind. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject’s name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack. After writing the cause of death, the details of the death must be written within the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Reception: To date the manga has sold over 6 million copies all over the world. In 2007 Play magazine named it as the best anime in the Anime Year in Review. It has been rumored that the author and artist of the manga; Ohba and Obata had been persuaded to lengthen the storyline when its popularity increased. Originally, they has only intended to make it half as long. To date there are over 100 Death Note fan websites, and thousands of fan fiction and fan art entries over the web, such as the Death Note Wiki, which currently has over 130,000 members and the Death Note Fan Site, which has over 1 million users. Over the course of 2009, a Hollywood movie was announced, drawing further fans into the series and sparking new debate over who should play various roles.

Personal Review: Death Note draws in the crowds because it is unique. The anime has a simple story line, with a complicated overall plot that had to be followed with real thought. The animation is one of the best, with excellent shading and detailed character drawings, with realistic expressions. The music was brilliantly created and matched the story exactly, some fans believe the epic music is what makes the series so watchable. Intelligent, witty and emotion, Death Note truly draws in viewers an is really one of those series that you can’t stop watching. Intense animation with likable characters and a brilliant plot-line. I give the animation 10/10 – the perfect animation which could not have possible been any better!

You’re watching your favorite TV show. The heroine has been resisting the charms of her male partner all series long, but finally the moment all viewers have been waiting for comes – she melts into his arms and they kiss.

Suddenly you’re no longer interested in the kiss. What IS that song playing in the background? Who is singing it? You MUST know, so you try to catch a few words and rush off to the computer to Google it. Meanwhile the heroine and her partner are either getting it on, or there’s a sniper outside the bedroom window about to kill one of them off. Who cares! You have to have that song!

I wonder if shows in the Fifties, like Dragnet or Highway Patrol, have songs playing in the background? Probably not. This is a much more recent innovation, and gradually the music played on television shows is becoming as important as the action. In “Cold Case”, for example, the music is cleverly taken solely from the year in which the action takes place. Several episodes of that show have featured the music of only one artist. Bruce Springsteen springs to mind.

When a show features a particular song, it can have quite an effect on the career of the artist, and can inspire a sudden surge in sales or downloads of the particular song. The UK group Headway has had a few of their songs featured on American shows and whether it’s a direct result or not of that exposure, they have recently been the opening act on the UK tour of Matchbox 20 and will shortly open for OneRepublic.

Another group to benefit from having their music played on TV is “The Kin”, who have had an upsurge in sales of their songs having been featured in “Army Wives” and “Moonlight”. Speaking of “Moonlight”, the vampire detective/love story which was inexplicably canceled after just one season by CBS, that show’s fans were frantically searching for the titles and singers of songs featured in each episode within seconds of the show having aired. People on the west coast were on forums searching for the music from fans on the east coast where the show had already aired.

My top song played on TV shows? It’s the one that started my interest in this modern day phenomena. It was played at the end of an episode of “Without A Trace” during a particularly poignant scene. I sort of knew the song before but the emotional scene and the powerful words had me determined to buy it. That song was, I discovered, “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley. It’s since been played in many other shows.

With a crop of new shows about to start in the Fall, it will be interesting to see if they generate as much interest in the songs they play as the shows themselves.

With 24 now over and only living in the TV heaven called syndication, 24 fans are faced with a conundrum. Which TV show could ably fill the massive shoes that Jack Bauer left?

There are a lot of pretenders to the throne – but the common thread is that they are action-oriented shows that have a little political intrigue tacked in. It’s not exactly 24 – because that show’s formula can never be duplicated, it’s that unique. But shows loosely based on those premises are what we have right now and may be enough for the many fans of 24 who are still mourning the demise of the show and need a quick action fix.
