With 24 now over and only living in the TV heaven called syndication, 24 fans are faced with a conundrum. Which TV show could ably fill the massive shoes that Jack Bauer left?

There are a lot of pretenders to the throne – but the common thread is that they are action-oriented shows that have a little political intrigue tacked in. It’s not exactly 24 – because that show’s formula can never be duplicated, it’s that unique. But shows loosely based on those premises are what we have right now and may be enough for the many fans of 24 who are still mourning the demise of the show and need a quick action fix.
